A Myth or a Reality

Vaastushastra has been mistaken as a fiction by all those who are unaware of the scientific facts behind the application of its principles. However, people having the slightest knowledge of our age-old Vedas and about the history of Indian culture and architecture would know how intelligent and foresighted our sages and seers were.

Everything that our modern science and scientists are inventing now has already been well utilised and applied in the past by our seers. We Indians in spite of being successors of those intellectual saints, question our own history and deny to believe in anything.

Vaastushashtra is an ancient Indian science. A Vaastu dosha in Vijay Nagri’s Maya Sabha caused Mahabharat between the Kauravs and Pandavas and their entire generation is said to almost vanish after that. The dosha in Maya Sabha was a water trench in the centre of the the premises. As per Vaastu any water body in the centre of the premises is a major Vaastu dosha.

Ancient References of Vaastushastra can be found in Bhagwad Gita also.
Chapter “Kishkindha Kand” in Ramayan shows the cave where Lord Ram rested as per the Vaastu principles. Many such examples can be traced in our shastras and purans.
This age-old science is a gift to us and it is upon us to make the most out of it.
